    Vintage Notes – 2021

A complex and variable year. After a snowy and cold winter, the spring was delayed and erratic, with cool and wet conditions into May. June brought sudden heat and dryness, followed by heavy July rains that impacted fruit set. August and autumn offered more balance, with wind helping to dry the vines after rainfall. Careful selection at harvest ensured healthy fruit. The resulting wine is concentrated yet fresh, with smoky and spicy depth, and room to evolve in the bottle.
